Teaching Philosophy
In my teaching philosophy, I embrace the wisdom of Henry Cotton, who once said, “Golf is a matter of confidence. If you think you cannot do it, there’s no chance you will.” As a golf instructor, my initial mission is to collaboratively build up
the skill set and confidence of my students.
I prioritize ensuring that the learning process is both comfortable and enjoyable.
What brings me the most joy is witnessing how my students, spanning various skill and experience levels, respond to their advancements in golf. The satisfaction of seeing them grow is truly fulfilling.
Recognizing the overwhelming amount of golf information available on the internet and television, I understand the challenges students face without an experienced guide. Many students struggle with selecting the right information and determining how and when to apply it.
The multitude of swing ideas and quick fixes often act as temporary solutions rather than cohesive systems for mastering the swing and golf course play. To address this, I simplify the learning process and guide students toward quick and steady improvement.
My approach involves working directly with each player to personalize their instructional program. I believe in distilling information to help students make better contact with all shots, ultimately resulting in lower scores. This customized approach ensures that each student, regardless of their level, experiences
a straightforward and effective path to
golf proficiency.
